WARRANTY

Each product comes with a unique serial number found on the silver tag. This is for authentication.

All products are backed by a 5 year manufacturing warranty from the date you received your products. Warranty covers welds and metal snaps. If products are re-powder-coated a color other than our company color of white, warrantying may be on either a case-by-case basis or voided.

If you live in an area that sees snow, warranty is limited to 1 year.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Vehicles with high mileage, body damage, or old age may have chassis flex that will cause mounting points for bracing to not line up perfectly. Modification may be needed for bracing to line up perfectly.

Front Strut Bar - also known as a “front strut tower brace,” this bar connects to the top of the front strut towers, which are usually located in the engine bay, and prevents the chassis from flexing during cornering. It makes the chassis more rigid, resulting in better handling by preventing the strut towers from flexing, also helping with shock tower loads and equally dispersing force through the chassis.

What makes Ultra Racing front strut bars unique?

Consumers choose our front strut bars over the multi-pieced, flexible designed front strut bars made by other companies because our front strut bars come in a one-piece design that provides more rigidity and overall performance compared to a front strut bar that is multi-pieced. By installing an Ultra Racing front strut bar, your vehicle will experience less chassis flex, better handling over road bumps and through corners, and our one-piece design will never need to be adjusted, tightened, or risk failing from moving parts like the multi-piece design of other companies.

Made from ASTM A500 Grade A (American US Standard Mild Steel)

All materials used are carefully selected to ensure the best performance and safety. The brackets are made of 4MM to 5MM steel plates, while the hollow steel tubes and oval tubes are of 1.2MM to 1.6MM thickness. These materials' thicknesses ensure the bars are rigid and strong to maintain constant geometry at all times, yet safe enough to crumble during an impact.

BEFORE VS AFTER A FRONT STRUT BAR

strut-bar-before.gif

BEFORE

Part of the shock from impact transfers to the chassis, causing wheel housing and lower arm deforming.

strut-bar-after.gif

AFTER

Once equipped with an Ultra Racing strut bar, the shock from impact will be neutralized on both sides.

WHILE ENTERING A CORNER

strut-bar-corner-before.gif

BEFORE

The weight transfer and force gathers on one side, causing unstable handling and an increase in body roll.

AFTER

Once equipped with an Ultra Racing strut bar, body roll decreases which evens out weight transfer. The car is now stabilized through turns and has better handling.

    Strut tower brace

I added this after doing subframe collars and coilovers; I did not expect such a huge improvement!! There is a reason the second gen has factory bracing; this brace quieted up my front end and made it much 'squarer' and 'sharper' in feel. The other Evan's review is completely right!

    Front Strut Brace

I immediately felt the difference in handling going around curves. The steering feels just that touch lighter and the car tracks easier through the curves. In fact, I am so satisfied with the improvement that I already ordered the lower subframe connector! Anything that makes this 4,000 lb. car handle better is serious value for he money!

Genesis 5.0 R-Spec Strut Bar is AWESOME

Posted by Evan on Jan 4th 2021

This bar was pretty easy to install, you only have to loosen up a few bolts to get this on. The only gripe I do have is that with my model, the(assumably) TCU plastic covering barely doesn’t fit with the bar on, so I had to leave it off. My car in particular has a hole without threading on one of the mounting points, so I’m not utilizing the design 100%, but I have the other bolts torqued down hard enough to where that bar isn’t going anywhere. Ultra Racing provides a bolt with a threaded nut to fasten each side I believe, but I think adding that really only provides minor fastening to the chassis. The other bolts are what really count since they thread into the body of the frame. My car feels like it’s on rails compared to how it was before. There is some very minor noticeable stiffness in the drive when you go over choppy road, but it’s easy to get over once you make a turn and realize it goes exactly where you want it to. I’ve driven it around for a few days now, haven’t seen any issues or loosening of the bolts in any way. If that changes, I’ll change my review. For now though, this product is awesome, probably the best(and one of the few) mods for the Genesis 5.0 R-Spec.

    Strut Tower Brace 5.0 Rspec

Posted by John B on Jun 6th 2019

This brace works really well! eExtremely heavily packaged. Definitely makes the car feel more solid especially at higher speeds changing lanes and in the corners. Would be better if these were powder coated as opposed to paint that's used or a choice of colors. You have to modify one of your PCM covers to fit the bracket but very simple to do and makes all the difference.
