Infiniti G35 (VQDH) & Nissan 350Z (Z33) OE Chassis Replacement Bracing

We get lots of emails in regards to cross referencing bracing, sometime we just don't know 100% if our bracing will cross fit with a similar chassis.

We have been waiting to do this project for a while, the biggest challenges is getting the test vehicles to do this. Lucky for us, our partners at NorCal Chassis Works, in Fairfield California asked their customers if they would be willing to test fit our bracing.

Edger G. was a customer of NCCW and has been looking at ways to improve the chassis of his 2007 Infiniti G35 Coupe.

We knew that our G35 units were designed around the G35 Sedan. We also knew that the 350Z shared so many components with the G35, but how much of it did it share?

Our 1st order of business was the front subframe tie. The tie brace bolts on the lower control arms subframe bolts, and helps the subframe from moving in a lateral position. Also, pictured is the chassis subframe brace that ties the Compression arms to the frame of the vehicles unibody.

Our subframe tie brace (Part Number LA2-1256) sits just above the main subframe, clearance will not be an issue.

Next order of business comes to the main question we get frequently. If the Z33 350Z subframe chassis brace works on the G35. We pulled the G35 OE brace and compared them with our chassis brace (Part Number LA8-1257). The million dollar answer is ... it is the same brace. The Z33 Nissan 350Z and the Infiniti G35 share the same unibody structure. From the subframes, suspension components to even the steering rack.

(Side by side comparances)

Moving on to the rear of the vehicle, you will see that the G35 and the 350Z has a rear subframe brace. We took a chance on testing this product (Part Number RL4-1259). Also, we took the Ultra Racing brace from the 350Z.

Our test vehicle had so much underbody damage from riding low for many years, the challenge was there. Due the nature of the chassis already having dents and bent mounting points, we had to modify our chassis bracing mounting plate area to mach the holes on the test vehicle. It actually was not bad.

You can see how bad the OE brace is.

This Infiniti G35 got a new lease in life. - For more products, visit this link https://ultraracing-usa.com/product/infiniti/g35-v35-2003-2007/

As always, we love working with tuners and visualists. Thank you Marcelo Martinez (@marcvisuals) for the great captures. The G35 coupe for giving us the opportunity to product test, Edgar Guzman.
