Nissan (Z33/Z34) 350Z/370Z C-Pillar Brace Installation

Well we got ahold of a 4 point C-pillar brace for the Nissan 350Z (Z33) UR-ROC4-1260, the installation is not as easy as it looks. We also looked into the the Z34 370Z and the brace does fit the C-pillars.

With two people, installing could take up to 4 hours or less.

The OE seat belt harness comes with an assortment of spacers, washer and nuts. Reason why? because the fancy seat belt has a little arm that pulls up to hold your harness away from the pillar ... thats why.

Should you want to just go with a basic traditional seat belt with no fancy arm, then the installation process should be less then what we went through.

Here we go with the installation. (Thank you @Supagarage for giving us your vehicle as a test subject)

We may ship this item in two parts, because it is an adjustable brace, you will need to install the adjustable bolt.

Just keep in mind, the bolt is a directional style bolt, that either pulls in the brace or pulls out for adjustability.

Before you try and put the brace together inside the car, it will not work. You must first put this together outside the vehicle. The center adjustable bolt is what make the installation a bit of a challenge to install inside the car. You may have success doing it, but we sure did not. Our suggestion, make sure the two parts of the braces are adjusted inside so when the brace is installed you can then adjust into the c-pillar.

In the picture below, you can see that the fancy arm (large object below the thumb). The Ultra Racing C-pillar brace will be replacing the spacer between the seat belt bracket and the fancy arm. Do keep the plastic object between the harness bracket and the fancy arm.

Make sure the entire seat belt bracket is placed in the inside of the C-pillar brace.

Next is the bottom floor pillar installation. Now this is fairly easy to install.

Make sure the seat belt brackets are on the inside of the Ultra Racing brace and that they point towards the rear of the car.
